  • PRP is a natural, non-invasive approach that harnesses the power of your own growth factors to restore and revitalize your scalp and hair follicles. Microneedling is an evidence-based approach to stimulate hair growth by promoting blood flow and the release of tissue healing factors in the scalp. The two together are a powerhouse to encourage regrowth.

  • • We draw your blood at the beginning of the appointment, spin it down in a centrifuge, and extract the concentrated PRP.

    • After cleansing the scalp, we use microneedling or superficial injections plus targeted application of PRP or exosomes to areas of thinning. 

    • Plan for 60 minutes just for hair, or 90 minutes for a face & hair combo.

  • Areas of thinning or early hair loss on the scalp, commonly the crown, temples, hairline, or patches. 

  • • Hair restoration is gradual.

    • Most people benefit most from a series of 3-12 treatments, spaced 4-6 weeks apart. As hair growth takes time, results will continue to develop over several months. We often recommend maintenance sessions to sustain the effects.

  • Anyone looking for a natural, non-invasive approach to treat thinning hair, early hair loss, or reduced hair density, diffuse across the scalp or in patches. Microneedling & PRP for hair works best when started early and paired with other treatments such as nutrient optimization & topical formulations. This will be discussed with you, and your approach will be individualized during your treatment. Hair loss is often a whole-person approach. 

  • This treatment may not be suitable if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have a blood or clotting disorder, are on blood thinners, have an active scalp infection or condition, or have advanced hair loss where follicles are no longer viable. If you are unsure, call us to ask. 

  • • Come with a clean scalp, free of heavy product. You may wish to wash your hair the morning of or the night before to remove any scalp buildup or hair product. 

    • Stay well hydrated and avoid alcohol and blood-thinning medications or supplements beforehand, where appropriate.

Aftercare

Expect mild redness or tenderness on the scalp for 1-3 days.

Avoid washing your hair immediately following your treatment. Avoid harsh hair products, intense exercise/sweating, sun exposure, or active topical ingredients for a few days while the scalp settles.

Potential Complications

  • Temporary redness, tenderness, swelling, or minor pinpoint bleeding are normal.

  • Less common effects include bruising or infection.
