What is classified as Allied Care?
Essentially, all services that are not pertaining to General Family Medicine, Medical Doctors. This
includes: Traditional Chinese Medicine TCM, Acupuncture, Osteopathy, Physiotherapy, Chiropractic Treatment
as well as Naturopathy.
Are Allied Care services covered under Extended Health Benefits?
Every Insurance company offers different coverages/plans; However, many Insurance companies do cover the
services we offer. All companies cover a different amount of coverage. Should a patient ask us in relation
to their specific company, we unfortunately cannot answer as we do not have access to their individualized
insurance plan. We can direct bill and await what the system returns with but the patient will need to
research their own plans, coverage, and allowance.
Do you accept extended health benefits?
We are able to direct-bill for Pacific Blue cross as well as any insurers that fall under Telus Health.
These include: Canada Life, Manulife, Sun Life, Claim Secure, Desjardins, IA Financial Group, Johnson,
Johnston Group, La Capitale, Alberta Blue Cross, BPA, Canadian Construction Workers Union, Chambers of
Commerce Group Insurance Plan, CINUP, Cowan, D.A Townley, First Canadian, GMS, Group Health, Group source,
LiUNA Local 183, LiUNA Local 506, Manion, Maximum benefit, People corporation, RWAM, Union Benefits & UV
Insurance. Please provide your insurance information in Jane before your treatment.
What services can Creekside Health direct bill for?
All our services can be directly billed except for Clinical Counselling, Osteopathy, Massage, Neurofeedback
and Aesthetics. Unfortunately, our Massage Technicians are not Registered Massage Therapists, which leaves
their services not qualified for billing to insurance companies. Clinical Counselling and Osteopathy may be
covered under the patient's insurance company but our system does not provide it as an option to direct-bill
for. But don't fret! The patient can still manually claim for these services; however, the patient would be
responsible to pay for the session entirely prior to submitting.
** Any Testings/Lab work completed by Naturopathic Doctors, we cannot bill for. All supplements are not
covered by Insurance companies.
Will my insurance cover an IV treatment?
It will depend on your specific coverage, but all IV’s are billed for under naturopathic services! Most
insurers will cover naturopathic services.
