Madeline “Mads” Ellis

General Manager

My name is Madeline, but most people call me Mads. I'm from Australia and grew up in a beautiful surf town called Noosa. I'm a big fan of holistic health, and through my own health challenges, I found my love for herbal medicine, which led me to study a diploma in naturopathy in Australia before moving to Canada.  I've spent over 5 years living in here falling in love with the mountains and the adventures and now have permanent residency with no plans to leave! 

 

Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind.

  • Snowboarding, mountains, yoga, medicinal plants and any adventure that involves being outside.

  • In the mountains or by the water. I'm forever conflicted by which one I prefer. Outside of work, I’m usually snowboarding, hiking, dirt biking, trail running, camping, or chasing another mountain summit.

  • I am a BIG acupuncture fan. Nothing makes me feel more zen, grounded, and reset than an acupuncture treatment. I’ll recommend it to basically anyone who will listen. Favourite product is easily our Ergogenics Matcha powder. My matcha addiction is very real, and I genuinely don’t think I can function without one at this point.

  • The people, 100%. Our team is insanely knowledgeable, and it honestly feels like having Google for health care at my fingertips. Everyone is so passionate about what they do, and you can really feel that energy when you walk into the clinic.

    I also have so much love for our owners, Dom and Danielle; they work SO hard for this community and are a huge inspiration to me. I started at Creekside back when the medical and integrative sides had separate reception desks, and over the years, I’ve gone from integrative admin to MOA to Front Desk Manager and now to General Manager. I’ve grown up a lot here, both professionally and personally - and getting the opportunity to help lead a clinic that means so much to me is really special. I can't thank them enough for trusting me. Creekside genuinely changed my life. I moved to Whistler thinking I’d stay for a few months, and now I have permanent residency, a career I love, and a work family that feels like home. Pretty wild.

  • These days, I’m a little more behind the scenes, working on clinic operations, systems, and workflows, and making sure things run as smoothly as possible for both patients and our team. I definitely miss chatting with patients at the front desk every day, but I love the challenge of constantly improving the patient experience behind the scenes.

    I’ve also recently joined Bhavana Studio to help facilitate their run club, partnered with Creekside Health, so we could combine our communities. It's been such a fun way to reconnect with our community outside the clinic walls.
